Tevin
Tevin has been dancing salsa for over 4 years. Addicted to the dance, salsa has quickly become part of his everyday life.
As a teacher, he pays careful attention to every aspect of the dance: the steps, turn patterns and all the ‘finer details that make a big difference’ separating his unique style from other teachers.
When it comes to partner work, he feels it’s important to share a good connection and move well with your partner, always paying attention to the dance level of the ladies.
His philosophy is
- Whatever you learn, always remember to enjoy yourself.
- Any mistake – sorry guys it’s always the fault of the men! Which means the leading was not perfect; an aspect Tevin pays particular attention to endeavouring to make sure it’s mastered.
Tevin is well known for his unique style, great interpretation of the music, control over body isolation within his footwork and not forgetting the timing. As all good teachers his quest for learning and sharing in this dance and its culture is never ending. To improve his style, he has travelled (or maybe it is the only excuse found to justify his numerous travels) abroad to Cuba, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy and Poland to say the least.
He also practices ‘Ashtanga Yoga’ and loves languages; deciding to learn Spanish to be able to understand/interpret salsa songs, he speaks fluent French, Dutch and is currently learning Portuguese and German.
